Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice has partnered with Dr. Marianne Jackson to present a series of events titled, “What Ever Happened to Natural Causes? Historical Perspectives on Death and Dying Across 100 Years.” The events coincide with Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospices’ Centennial Year Celebration and showcase Dr. Marianne Jackson’s research regarding the changes in medicine of the last 100 years, common myths and misconceptions, and why it is more important than ever before to plan for your future. Dr. Marianne Jackson, who served the North Country for 30 years as a local physician, is now dedicating her time to helping us avoid unnecessary suffering at the end of life.
The first in this series will be held on Monday, January 30th at 6:30pm in Ossipee at Mountain View Nursing Home, 10 County Farm Rd. Come celebrate our Centennial, enjoy Dr. Jackson’s presentation, and discover new ways to bring families together around the topics of death and dying. Start the Conversation. Learn how Advanced Care Planning can relieve conflicts and provide measures of security for family members. Free Advanced Directive and Five Wishes forms will be provided along with refreshments. A snow date has been scheduled for Monday, February 6th at 6:30pm.
